Why Train Female Athletes?!

In August of 2015, I received a call from a physical therapist that was looking for training for an athlete.

She was a 14 year old soccer player was coming off an ACL tear.  

She was 4 months post op and ready for more.

By the way, he said "she's a goalkeeper, 5'5" and was looking to play D1."

We opened up Movement Fitness as a place to train athletes, but I'll be honest, I was more looking for the 15-18 year old bros that wanted to play football, baseball and basketball.

That's who I had been and what I knew.

Well, when you open a business without anyone really knowing who you are, you take EVERY opportunity you can get.

So I dug in HARD to the science and training protocols for athletes post surgery.

The data was OVERWHELMING.  

Female athletes between the ages of 14 - 18 are 2-6 TIMES more likely to tear their ACL then boys.

Female athletes needed HELP!

Since the inception of Title 9, female participation in sports has risen SIGNIFICANTLY!

While this is a GREAT thing, the problem is, the preparation for sport is STILL not the same for females as it is males. 

So, we began building a system that would allow us to train female athletes to come back from injury.

We had HUGE success with a number of athletes.

Consequently, I began receiving calls from parents trying to AVOID injury in the first place.

So, we began catering toward female athletes. 

It is a passion of our because we have seen a HUGE amount of athletes not only avoid injury, but achieve maximum performance and achieve BIG GOALS along the way.

We believe there is a generation of athletes that can do great things and we want to help them learn how to be their best!

So, as part of our commitment to female athletes, we are offering 2 things this month for female athletes 12 years of age or older.

First, every Tuesday in the month, we are offering a FREE ACL Risk Assessment.
