If you’re serious about becoming a coach or personal trainer, there comes a moment when theory isn’t enough.
As an Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Strength & Conditioning student, you’ve invested years learning anatomy, biomechanics, program design, and performance principles. You understand the science.
But coaching isn’t mastered in a classroom, it’s developed on the floor.
For over 8 years, Movement Fitness has partnered with universities and colleges to provide accredited internship experiences designed for students ready to step into real responsibility. Our Summer 2026 Internship fulfills a 150-hour internship requirement through structured, hands-on coaching inside a professional training environment.
This is where future coaches go to grow, turning theory into impact.
Beginning May 18, 2026, you will work with real youth athletes and adults over 40 in a live training setting. You will lead warm-ups, deliver coaching cues, make real-time adjustments, and progressively take ownership of training segments under the guidance of experienced mentors.
This is not an observation; it’s on-the-job development.
Our internship is intentionally structured to move you from learning our systems and standards to assisting and leading sessions with oversight by the end of the summer. You will receive direct feedback, be challenged and grow in confidence, communication, and leadership.
If you are, or know, an Exercise Science student looking for an accredited, real-world internship that brings education to life and prepares them for a career in coaching, this opportunity was built for them.
Applications due April 30, 2026.
