So my amazing wife bought me the 2018 Fit Pro Planner.
It’s a GREAT tool.
Yes it’s for “Fit Pro’s, but the principles apply to anyone.
I started going through it yesterday and WOW!
At first, it looked like a daunting task.
Lots of questions and blank space.
So I just started.
I wasn’t sure how much I would get done, but that doesn’t matter.
At this moment, I can’t wait for the perfect time to go through it.
I just started.
We often wait for the perfect time, but really, there is no such thing.
We often think the New Year is the perfect time.
Unfortunately, we wait.
Then we often have to take steps to recover from where we were in order to get back on track.
It’s not about the new year.
It’s about priorities and purpose.
This time of year allows for the chance to reflect and project.
What did I do this past year that was…
Helpful to achieve a goal
Not so good
Distracting me from my goal
Who do I want to become in the New Year?
What are my priorities? (write them down)
What actions will I take? (write them down)
What behaviors will I adopt? (write them down)
What do I need to stop?
What takes me further from my goal? (write them down)
What actions are destructive for me? (write them down)
What behaviors do I need to stop? (write them down)
These are a few of the thoughts and ideas that I went through in order to set myself up well.
Not just for 2018, but tomorrow.
So, today, take some time to
Reflect (where have you been)
Project (where are you going)
This will allows you to see where you are having success and where you need to adjust.
Remember, what get measured get’s done.
If you do that, you will have success not just in the new year, but everyday.
